Baritone and bass-baritone roles are among the funniest in Italian comic opera (opera buffa). Stefanos Koroneos and Adelmo Guidarelli, both singers who have performed with Opera in Williamsburg in fully-staged operas, perform such roles all over the world: the characters who move the action and control events in the story — or think they do. The two world-class singers have put together a program that combines superb singing with hilarious antics from the best of the best and funniest in classical opera, with their co-plotter soprano Kinneret Ely.
